1 Kg Chicken

3 Onion  chopped

2 Green chilly chopped

2 Tbsp Oil

2 Bay leaves

5 Green cardamom

5 Black peeper corns

1 Tsp Ginger-garlic paste

1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder

1 Tsp Red chilli powder

1 Tsp Coriander powder

1 Cup Yogurt

2 Tbsp Kasuri methi

Salt to taste


  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the whole spices saute and add onion and cook till translucent and soft.
  2. Add Ginger-garlic paste and powdered spices, chilli saute for a minute.
  3. Add chicken pieces and beaten curds and cook on high heat for 7-8 minutes. 
  4. Add kasuri methi and three fourth cup water and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
  5. Add salt and cook for a couple of minutes.
