New mothers are always concerned about what to feed their baby, what is right for the baby, what am feeding is sufficient? And many more questions like these.
I’ am a new mother too.. In today’s world we have internet to answers all our questions.. but .. the answers that we find are correct or not it’s for us to decide..
I’ am no doctor but I have a few simple recipes from my mom that will not harm any baby…
Be sure to consult your doctor before starting solids. I started when my baby was 5 and ½ months old. He is now 7 months.
The recipe is really very simple with very basic ingredients
Things you’ll need:
- 1tbsp rice
- 1 ½tbsp moong dal
- Dry roast or use a little ghee to fry the dal in a pressure cooker.
- Add washed and soaked rice into the cooker.
- Add water and let it cook for upto 5-6 whistle.
- Add water as per the consistency that the baby likes (you can also blend it to get a smooth paste).
You can add half a carrot or a half a potato to give a little variation. You can even add a little milk and salt if you like. My baby is a fussy eater so I like to give him a different taste everyday.
