I am a lazy bone.. People who know me will tell you. As much as i love food i’m too too lazy to make stuff that takes time n lot of stuff unless its some special occasion. Today I’m making Mashed Potato Masala(again thanks to my friend sanch for the name :P) a potato side dish which is damn simple and tastes like paw bhaji walli bhaji… 🙂

Ingredients
  • 5 medium sized potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2tsp chilli powder
  • 1\2tsp turmeric powder
  • 1\2tsp dhaniya powder(coriander powder)
  • 3\4tsp kasuri methi powder (Fenugreek powder)
  • 1\4tsp Garam masala (All spice powder)
  • Salt to taste
  • 3tbs oil
Direction
  • Heat oil in a sauspan\pressure cooker and add roughly chopped onion, saute it until its translucent
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute
  • Add finely diced potatoes and all the dry masala and mix well
  • Cook until the potatoes are soft and cooked
  • Mash the potatoes a little once its done
  • Serve hot with bread/roti/rice
